Manpower West’s Phil Blair Attains Best-Seller Status as Author
August 18, 2015
Phil Blair, Executive Officer of Manpower-West and author of Job Won! 500,000 Hires and Counting, has added “best-selling author” to his professional credits by becoming a #1 best-selling author on Amazon in two major employment-related categories – job hunting and vocational guidance.
Published in 2014 by Authorhouse, Job Won! ranks as a valuable compendium for job seekers and employers alike, offering 188 pages of practical advice, tips and strategy presented in Blair’s conversational, easy-to-understand style.
“I’m both proud and inspired to reach this status,” said Blair, “because it means that my career-long message of encouraging job-seekers to pursue their career goals with practicality and passion has found an even larger audience.”
Blair, who has spent 30 years in the temporary- and permanent- placement staffing industry, has become a frequently-quoted leader and speaker in the field.
Manpower-West provides approximately 3,800 jobs daily in its market, ranking as the fourth largest private sector employer in San Diego County. The agency also operates franchises in Southern Nevada (based in Las Vegas), Eastern Washington (Spokane), New Mexico (Albuquerque), and Hawaii (Honolulu).
“Putting together a focused program to attract more readers resulting in Phil becoming a best seller on Amazon was a very fulfilling project,” said James F. Butz, president of San Diego-based Resonnect, LLC. “If helping people find jobs was an Olympic event, Phil would be a gold-medal winner. He’s one of those inspiring leaders who looks for ways to give back to the people he serves.”
